Mee Siam

Mee Siam is a Malay & Peranakan hawker dish loved across Singapore. Here is what it is, what to order and where to try it, starting at Circuit Road Food Centre.

What is Mee Siam?

Mee siam means "Siamese noodles". Thin rice noodles come in a tangy tamarind gravy with egg, tau pok and a squeeze of lime. Mee Siam is part of Singapore's hawker culture, recognised by UNESCO in 2020 as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
