Rosti
Rosti is a Swiss hawker dish loved across Singapore. Here is what it is, what to order and where to try it, starting at Northshore, Punggol.
What is Rosti?
A Swiss potato pancake of grated potato fried in butter until golden and crisp on both sides. Young hawkers in Singapore made it a hawker favourite, served with sausage, smoked salmon, bacon or a fried egg. Rosti is part of Singapore's hawker culture, recognised by UNESCO in 2020 as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
